IRON MAIDEN recently released a best of album that celebrates the essence of the current tour by featuring most of the essential tracks from the band’s first seven studio albums and one live album, recorded between 1980 and 1989, and is aptly also entitled Somewhere Back in Time - The Best Of: 1980 - 1989.

What Records in the UK released Somewhere Back In Time Limited Edition Double Picture Disc LP Set on May 12th. The label has since announced that a limited quantity LP version of the title will now be available for North America on July 1st.
The North American release is identical to the UK version. The only difference is that it is not released via EMI but is distributed via a third party through Universal.

The full tracklisting for the album is as follows: 'Churchill Speech', 'Aces High', '2 Minutes To Midnight', 'The Trooper', 'Wasted Years', 'Children Of The Damned', 'The Number Of The Beast', 'Run To The Hills', 'Phantom Of The Opera' (Live), 'The Evil That Men Do', 'Wrathchild - Live', 'Can I Play With Madness', 'Powerslave', 'Hallowed Be Thy Name', 'Iron Maiden' (Live).
